In the bedroom the baby is sleeping in her cot and soft music from the mobile is being played. Zoom into the cot and before inside of the cot is shown the scene changes, with a thudding sound.

Cut To:

INT. Kitchen – Morning

Mother is preparing breakfast, she puts the pan onto the gas; the father comes into the shot.

Father:

Mother and father laugh at what has been said. The mother puts the gas on and close-up is shown of the gas flicking on is shown.

                                              Cut To:

INT.  Living Room – Daytime

The father, mother and daughter are all sitting on the sofa and the daughter is in the middle of her parents looking through her schoolwork and the father has her arm around his daughter.

EXT. Outside on the drive – Daytime

The father’s car pulls up onto the drive.

Cut To:

INT. Living Room- Daytime

The father, mother and daughter are playing a board game and laughing with each other. Mother is holding the baby in her arms.

Cut To:

INT.

The family are playing a board game and the mother is holding the baby

EXT. Outside on the drive – Daytime

Inside the car the father, mother and daughter all are laughing. (Happy family). Singing along to a song on the radio.

INT. Living Room – Daytime

When the mother is laying the three cereal bowls on the table, we can see pouring tablets into one of the glasses with water in there. (Looks evil)

INT. Living Room- Afternoon

Baby is crying in the cot. A birds eye view form the babies perspective is shown and the mother comes towards the baby with a pillow. Mother is holding the pillow tightly, close-up of this is shown; heart beat sound in the background. The sound of the heart beat stops (baby dies).

INT. Hallway - Daytime

Daughter is running through the hallway in the background an echoing of the word ‘mummy’ can be heard.

EXT. Outside on the drive – Afternoon

Mother is crying on the floor, father has his hand on the mother’s shoulder and the daughter is holding onto the fathers arm.

 

                                              Cut To:

Ext. Outside on the drive – Afternoon

Mother pushes back the father and daughter, she then screams and throws the flowers onto the drive.

                                              Cut To:

INT. Kitchen – Morning

Daughter puts her head towards the keyhole because she can hear a banging sound; she then sees an eye through the keyhole and screams.

Transition.

Black screen with white writing which says ‘There’s Something Wrong With Mum’. The word ‘wrong’ will be shown in red.  

INT. Bedroom- Evening

Daughter is sitting on her bed when suddenly heavy breathing occurs; her bedroom door suddenly slams open and a rush of air hits against her face. (Mysterious Atmosphere).

EXT. Cannel – Daytime

Close-up of the mothers face from side view.

Cut To:

Ext: Outside on the drive – Daytime

The lights from the car flash onto the mother and the mother begins to scream, she puts her arms over her face.

INT: Bedroom

The mother is combing her daughter’s hair and she combs it roughly and begins to hurt the daughter.

                                                  Cut To:

EXT: Standing by the outside door

The daughter runs up to the mother and then hugs her and then says, ‘I’ve always wanted a mother’.

                                                Cut To:

EXT. Cannel

The mother could grab the daughter and try to push her over the cannel. The mother screams the daughter, ‘I hate you’.

INT. Bedroom

The daughter is sitting on her bed reading through her school work, her room is dark and she only has the lamp on. However, she then begins to hear thudding noise.

                                              Jump Cut To:

INT. Living Room

The mother and the father are sitting on the sofa watching television, its light in the room and no thudding sound is heard.

                                             Jump Cut To:

INT. Bedroom

The daughter is still in the bedroom and the thudding gets louder and louder.

Then a blank screen in shown.

Cut to:

INT. stairs

The mother is strangling the daughter and the father comes from behind and is about to hit the mother with a statue.

Cut to:

INT. Dinning Table

Mother has her head on the table the daughter comes in and touches the mother on her shoulder and the mother jump’s up and has mascara running down her face.

Storyline

A couple living together who are in their late 20s and have just had a baby girl but, the father already has a 12 year old daughter. After the child birth the mother gets post natal depression. As the baby keeps crying the mother gets stressed and kills the baby. After killing the baby the mother becomes a psychopath and the father thinks the death of the baby is down to a cot death.

Unknowingly the mother acts strangely and does scary things around the house that she is not aware of she is a psychopath, this convinces the daughter and father that there is a ghost in the house. The daughter sees the mother doing something strange in the kitchen through the key hole. In the shot the mother stares back at the girl. Many different scenes can be shown to show that there is something wrong with the mother/house.

At the end the mother tires to attack the daughter however the father comes and tries to stop her, as she pushes him out the way he finds it hard to stop her so he hits her on the head and she does (this was not deliberate). The father and daughter move house and live together.

Production Schedule

Whilst making our film trailer, there are three main jobs that need to be allocated to three different people.

1) Nisha will be getting people together to be a part in the trailer, the mother, little girl father, spirit and shadow

2 Sharon is in charge of getting props for the trailer such as a doll crying

3) Neelam will be filming the trailer, as she is good and using the recorder

4) Neelam is editing the trailer

5) Sharon is making the magazine front cover featuring the film

6) Nisha is making up the poster, of the film trailer

Magazine Research 2

The genre of this magazine is again horror, the certificate for the film Scream is 15. This matches our project as we are aiming ours at the same age range as well 15 and over. researching this will help us so much as this way we can relate our magazine to this, so we know what will attract 15 and older people. The image on the front cover is of the mask which is the main prop which is the mask to cover up the murderers face. It makes the magazine looks like it’s full of mystery as the mask is making eye contact to the readers of the magazine. The title is over the mask and over the mouth which is looking like the masking is screaming hence the title 'Scream'. The magazine tells the readers that it is a sequel as the A in scream was replaced with the number 4.

The conventions on the front cover of the magazine include a masthead, pug, strap lines and also include a kicker. The style of masthead has been done to attract the audience as it is brighter than the background and it is bold. The title of the magazine is bigger than the title of the featured movie scream, as it is the full width of the magazine at the top. Doing this makes it more eye catching.

The strap lines are in so many different types of fonts, this makes the magazine seem more interesting, like for example 'splash hits' as the look of the fact that it has been written in blood this has a nice effect as it looks like the blood is running in so many different directions this makes the magazine front cover look like a magazine with the genre of horror suggesting death. Doing this will hook the targeted audience as they would want to find out what the film is actually about.

The kicker goes across at the top of the magazine front cover it says ‘131 Reviews! UK's Biggest Film and TV Guide'. This is advertises the magazine itself because this way it can easily gain a load of viewers to watch the film. The bit saying '131 Reviews' is yellow also is on a red background which makes it bold towards the targeted audience. It shows us that this is important because of the fact that this magazine has 131 reviews inside. The bit which says UK’s biggest film and TV guide', is white also on a red background. This also shows how important this fact is to attract the viewer’s attention and it emphasises the popularity of the magazine.

The colours which are used on the magazine front cover is black, white, red and yellow. Colours red and yellow are the brightest of all the colours, whereas the black and white which are duller and not bright at all. The colour red indicates danger and blood, which tells the targeted audience that the film will be full of blood guts and glory. The colour black has a nasty mood feel to it as it is a dark colour which tells us that bad things are going to occur, also when its dark no-one knows what’s going to happen next. White can have many meanings but, when it is associated with horror the colour white can suggest no emotions because Scream 4 is so scary after watching it the targeted audience would be speechless.



Magazine Research 1

The genre of this magazine is again horror. The colours used on this front cover are red, white, black and blue.  The masthead 'Gorezone' is in a normal, straight yet simple font, this attracts readers as it is bold. Also this style font is different to other fonts on the front cover. Having that slight shadow effect on the title shows us that the main writing is the masthead as  it is being emphasised the most out of everything else.

The main image matches the genre really well as it is horror, and the image is of a girl who looks shcoked yet lost with blood splatted all over her. Using this as part of our research is good as it matches to th estoryline or our project. Which is that there is a mother whom is a psychopath, she became this as she lost her daughter when she was young. The state of her with blood all over her and her clothes are all dirty implies to us that there is something out there to get her, or she is the one whom is out to get everyone. Also the image has direct eye contact to the readers this is telling us that, if you take your eye of the film you will miss out on alot.

In the straplines on the front cover includes the name of the actors whom are in the movie. The names are in a bold bright red. Whereas the name Natasha Lyonne is way bigger than all the other starplines, yet not as big as the masthead. This shows that this specific has more power and more of a role in the movie. And the bits that are in a light blue colour tells us what the movie includes, using the light blue is good against all the other colours as it is bright, so it can hook the readers eyes to read them, this way they will find out more and make them want to watch it even more.

Poster Reserach 2

The genre of this is againg horror, as this relates to our project. On this poster there is hardly any information about the movie 'Insidious'. This is a good way to attract the audience as there is not alot to read, instead of boring them. As this poster says alot just by the image of the house and the little boy. The only things what are on the poster is a image of the main charachter, title and who direcrted and made it. Also the release date of when it is going to show in all theaters.

The main image on this poster, is in fact a image of the main charachter of the whole film. The image of the little boy is taking up the whole of of the poster, as he is the main focus. The boys eyes is the most that stands out of the whole boy, as one eye is normal and the other looks sort of possessed. Doing this will attrcat the audience as it might give ideas in the audiences mind about what 'Insidious' is about. There is writing in the boys eyes which say 'Insidiou', this clearly tells us that there is something inside of the boy like a demon of some sort. The outfit which the boy is wearing are pajamas, him wearing this makes him look like a innocent little boy, whom can't do no harm.

The main iamge of the boy, has a background of a house. With the house as a background it makes it look more mysterious, as there might be something in the house. The house could be a nice home for a family, but teh dull lighting on it makes it look  as it is full of bad things. Also the sky is full of dark looking rain filled clouds representing that bad things are going to happen like a sudden thunder storm.

In this poster you can see the directors and makers of other scary films, immplying that if you have seen them other films, that makes you think taht this movie will be scaryt aswell as the others. Such as Paranormal Activity, Saw and many more. The two films which were mentioned is a good thing to atract the audience as  they were big hits, and had many viewers and good reviews. So by watching them you woudl expect this movie to match the scariness.

There is a quote on the poster saying 'Its not the house that is haunted', this is telling us that one of teh main images whcih is the house is not carrying teh demon, but the otehr image of the boy is carrying thsi nasty demon thiong inside of him.The coulour of this font is red, red in many words means bad is comming like danger.
